This project is the a collection of all the upgrades for a Shapeoko 2.
Under the following conditions:
With the understanding that:
Just to make people aware, the inline power switch (#30359-01) does fit the power supply barrel plug that comes in the Shapoko 2 kit. However, it does not fit onto the jack in the wire that comes in the kit. Either I got a defective switch, or a different barrel plug is needed to accept this jack.
Eric Blount
Eric, Sorry about that. The Shapeoko uses a 2.5mm center conductor and the switch uses the more standard 2.1mm center conductor. I updated this project and added a note to the product page for the switch. We will contact you about a refund. Bart

Hey Bart. Quick question regarding the Microswitches. Are there any instructions on how to install/use them with the Shapeoko? I want to add those as limiters. Thank you Murat

Got a kit and the upgrade parts, just the colt plate missing. Guess I can use the drill that in the kit to start with. In the pictures above it's a fan mounted. That fan I can't see anywhere in this list or in the kit. Is it missing in the list or should it be a part of the kit? Morten Norgard
Morten Norgard
Morten, I am not sure why that was not on the list. I added it. Sorry for the inconvenience. Bart

Same with the 5 mm bolts and nuts, also needs to be added. Motors have other attachments. Also bolts for rollers must be turned and distance washers added t fix the motors.

Hi What about the wheel that is fitted on the 3 motors for the drag chain? The spindles have a dif. diameter. Drill them or should it be another wheel?
Morten Norgard
The Shapeoko full kit is listed in the build, but not selected (presuming it's not included in the price). Can the table-only kit be used since the full kit includes many parts replaced by items in this kit? I am starting from scratch and would like to keep costs low/not have a pile of unused parts.

@Bart Dring: I'm a newbie, what are the differences or benefits between the TinyG Controller and the Arduino+gShield? which is better? why?, thanks for the help.
Manuel Huerta
The link for the fan does not work, how do I get one from the gshield enclosure? And one of the video's shows the drag chain installed on an aluminum bracket, i don't see that here,
